ObretEbre_JuventutInclusió

This week, Jesús, Tortosa and Amposta are hosting the third edition of a European mobility project for youth workers, funded by the Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by Obre’t Ebre. The project will take place from 28 February to 6 March 2026. This initiative strengthens a strategic approach focused on knowledge exchange, professional development in youth work, and the creation of European cooperation networks.

This edition brings together professionals from Albania, Germany, Bulgaria, Catalonia, Slovakia, France, Italy, Portugal, Ukraine, Turkey and Latvia. Over seven days, they will take part in an intensive programme of training activities across different locations in the Terres de l’Ebre. The sessions will include specialised workshops, technical visits to local resources, collaborative work spaces, and methodology-sharing dynamics.

Work axes: inclusion, participation and ocupability

The project puts the focus in identifying and transfer good practices towards social inclusion, youth engagement, ocupability and comunitatian action.

The project focuses on identifying and transferring good practices in social inclusion, youth participation, employability and community intervention. Within this framework, local professionals also take part and, together with the European participants, analyse models of action implemented in the area with the aim of establishing strategic partnerships and future transnational cooperation projects.

Bringing European mobility opportunities closer to students

As part of the programme, Institut Montsià will host a specific session for students, in which the participating international professionals will present the different European mobility programmes available to young people. The aim of this activity is to bring Erasmus+ opportunities and other European initiatives closer to students, encouraging active participation among young people in the region in training and professional experiences abroad.

The programme benefits from the active collaboration of several organisations and institutions, including the Tortosa Community Process in partnership with the Tortosa City Council, the Volunteering Office, FITES, Tortosa Activa, Càritas Interparroquial de Tortosa, and the labour market integration company Ilunion.

Likewise, organisations from Amposta also take part, such as Fundació El 7, Amposta City Council, the Montsià Youth Office and Club Esportiu APASA, strengthening the project’s territorial dimension and networking approach.

Community development that creates new opportunities

This third edition reaffirms Obre't Ebre’s commitment to the internationalisation of youth work and to positioning the Terres de l’Ebre as a benchmark area for inclusion policies and community development.

The project generates a significant impact both on the professional development of the participants and on strengthening the local community network, fostering knowledge transfer, social innovation and the creation of new opportunities for European cooperation in the socio-educational field.
