From 19 to 27 May, the city of Lecce (Italy) successfully hosted a training mobility of the Art Your Rights project, part of the Erasmus+ programme and aimed at youth workers from all over Europe. The aim was to promote human rights through art and non-formal educational methodologies.
During seven intense days of work, 30 participants from 6 European countries (5 per country) delved into creative techniques and digital tools to raise awareness of human rights among young people. The program included the exploration of innovative strategies, artistic workshops and the creation of various awareness-raising materials, such as posters, videos and an information brochure.
Beyond the training experience, the project is committed to local impact: once they return to their communities, participants will promote knowledge among their peers and friends through meetings and sharing the results of the project with local young people and youth workers.
Art Your Rights is co-funded by the European Union and represents a firm step towards transformative and inclusive education that connects the power of art with the defense of fundamental rights.
