During March 2026, Tetyana Kurt, representative of the Ukrainian organization Stella, visited Obre't Ebre as part of a study visit focused on the inclusion of young people in vulnerable situations.

The visit brought together youth workers and professionals from different European Union countries involved in Erasmus+ programmes, with the aim of learning about and exchanging effective methodologies and tools to help overcome the social, economic, educational, and employment barriers faced by young people with fewer opportunities.

Project objective

The study visit aimed to promote the exchange of practical experiences and provide insight into European initiatives designed to support young people at risk of social exclusion. Special emphasis was also placed on the sustainable development of youth work at the local level and on fostering collaboration networks between organizations from different countries.

Torre Sant Antoni: a space for Learning and Exchange

The delegation was welcomed at Torre Sant Antoni, a venue that became the meeting point for this exchange of experiences. Since 2021, the facility has hosted volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps and has served as a setting for international training courses, volunteer camps, and activities open to the local community.

The activities carried out there demonstrate how the principles of sustainability, inclusion, and participation can be integrated into the daily work with adolescents and young people facing a range of social challenges.

The experience from the Ukranian Perspective

Tetyana Kurt, representative of Stella, particularly highlights the human value of her experience in Tortosa:

"The city of Tortosa welcomed us with sunshine, intensive work, and many memorable moments. But the best part of these projects is the people. Strangers who, little by little, become friends and role models you will always remember."

The Ukrainian representative also spoke very positively about the opportunity to exchange knowledge, discover new youth work methodologies, and build connections with professionals and participants from other European countries.

This visit has helped strengthen international cooperation and promote the exchange of good practices among organizations committed to the inclusion and development of young people.
